Be a Role Model: I love getting these emails every Monday to remind me to "Make Mondays Matter" Its amazing how often we head out the door, needing a coffee, forgetting lunch, and running in late to an 8am meeting that someone schedules for us on a MONDAY! It's right then that I see these pop into my inbox and those three words almost make me stop and take a big breath and say, "Yes....a new week and what are YOU going to make of it??" This is the main topic that hit me today, http://everymondaymatters.org/2015/08/31/this-week-be-a-role-model/
At the end of the article it states "People are constantly watching, learning, taking notes. So, be all about the good stuff. Be aware. Being a role model matters." Could you imagine if every day you lived like a role model, like someone was always watching? Who would you want them to see? Often people struggle with this concept of role model because they believe it has to be the "perfect". What if what a role model looked like was more of the REAL in a person. The person that looks like the perfect in our eyes, but doesn't feel perfect at all. The outcast who you think isn't "the perfect" but in fact turns out to be someone you can completely relate to because they don't feel like an untouchable and more like you! What if we refer to a role model as someone who teach others to feel good in their own skin regardless of what society may tell them to be?
